The laboratory was founded in 1996. In 1997, the laboratory was certified for the first time by Ukrmetrteststandard. Scope of certification: water analysis and testing of water purification materials. 2007, 2011, 2018, 2020 - certification in the Ukrainian National Certification System.
In 2023, the Laboratory underwent regular certification at Ukrmetrtestandart and renewed its list of measurement capabilities for water quality testing, testing the properties of ion exchange resins, coal, nanofiltration/reverse osmosis membranes, and household cartridges.
In 2025, wastewater analysis was added to the list, certificate No. PT - 207/25 dated July 29, 2025.
Currently, the results of the Laboratory's work are used in projects in collaboration with the NGO WaterNet:● "Water quality map" WaterNetThe information is updated monthly in the form of publicly available statistics and annually in the form of an interactive map in your personal account on the websitehttps://waternet.ua/ok ● "Safe drinking water in Ukraine: access to information about water quality and water treatment methods" (2022-2024) , which involved seasonal research into the quality of drinking water sources, followed by mapping using modern GIS software, with financial support from the Finnish Local Cooperation Fund of the Embassy of Finland in Ukraine.● “Safe drinking water in Ukraine: access to information on water quality and water treatment methods” (2024) - technical assessment of water quality and water quality monitoring in Ukraine, conducted by UNICEF, with the participation of the NGO TEAM4UA.
